Days 25 - 30

Day 25 - I'm thankful that Oscar is such a great big brother.  He doesn't always set the best example, but he can be really sweet and helpful with Alice.

Day 26 - I'm thankful that my kids are growing up with breastfeeding as the norm.

Day 27 - I'm thankful that my family loves my cooking (or at least pretends to)

Day 28 - and that I can get steel cut oats at the store now, yay for crockpot oatmeal!

Day 29 - I'm thankful that it's time to decorate for Christmas!

Day 30 - I'm thankful that Oscar can behave himself when he really works at it.

fall makeup and outfit

So I avoided this post for so long that now it's late... but here it is anyway.  A couple of my favorite fall makeup looks and a fall outfit.  The makeup above is my go-to on-the-go look, simple eye and whatever lipstick/gloss I happen to grab out of my purse. I believe I used Maybelline's BB cream in light, Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch concealer in ivory,  E.L.F. Tone correcting powder,  Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Plum Wine, Maybelline's The Falsies Black Drama mascara, and Wet n' Wild Walking on Eggshells eyeshadow trio. The lipstick was Revlon Lip Butter in red velvet.

This one was the same BB cream, concealer, powder and mascara with E.L.F. Studio Blush in candid coral, Wet n' Wild Color Icon eyeshadow collection in comfort zone, Italia green and gold eyeliners, and a Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in peach petal.

And this is an example of the sort of thing I've been wearing a lot this fall. I do light layers since it's usually warm in Mississippi. For this trip to the grocery store I was wearing a tank top (target), light short-sleeved cardigan (target), jeans (cato), boots (cato) and a scarf.

This post is the outfit and make up for for my GABI Autumn (Photo) Bucket List. My list is done and done! Hoorah!

Day 20 - I'm thankful for hikes in crunchy leaves

Day 10

I'm thankful for crafty days with my SIL, Danielle. We get some crafting done and usually a lot of eating and project runway watching.

Bucket List Update!

Here's a picture of Oscar's Halloween lunch (apple smiles, witch fingers, ghost and moon cheese, cream cheese and jelly on whole wheat jack-o-lantern, grapes and candy corn) and a quick update on our bucket list. We've gotten a lot of things done, a lot of them are linked to the related blog posts.  There are a few that don't have their own post, and I'll throw some pictures down below of those. We're not going to make it to the Scottish games this year - boo - but we've had lots of other fun, so I don't feel too bad about it. With our road trip to Ohio coming up in less than a week we won't have a lot of time for crossing things off the list, so I'm glad they are mostly done.  I'm thinking about taking some crafting supplies (though Robyn probably has plenty) to Ohio and making handprint turkeys while we are there if time allows.

Fall Bucket List

Despite carrying the camera and phone around with me all evening, the only pictures of our bonfire/s'mores/dutch oven cooking that I got were these of Alice and Oscar riding in a wagon.

Here's one with actual fire!

And then on Thursday Jeremy was working around here, so he had to cash his check in Waynesboro instead of Mobile. Conveniently, I was just getting done at work in Waynesboro, so he picked me up and we had a mini-date at the ice cream place. We felt adventurous and tried a deep fried Twinkie.

Halloween treats

Alice helped me fix up some cookies for Oscar's class.

They were fun and delicious, but no bonus points for healthy.

I wrapped them up in bags, with twine, and spider rings.

And sent them off in an ice cream bucket in hopes that they wouldn't crumble on the way to school. The bucket came home empty, so I'm guessing that means they were good!

Leaf art

Here is our finished leaf art and a few in progress pictures.

Perfect picnic and pictures

A few days before Halloween we had a quick picnic. It was chilly and wonderful!

Peanut butter and honey, cream cheese and jelly, apples, grapes, cheese and pickles. It was a VERY yummy picnic. We also drank my last 3 cans of Vernor's and had some hot spiced cider afterwards.

Afterwards we tried to get a few family pictures, which was a little bit difficult with the tiny tripod I brought. Also a bit hilarious because I was trying to run around trees and stumps to get back before the camera took the picture.

close enough..

We also got a few pictures of Oscar in a tree...

And so Alice insisted she needed to sit in a tree as well.

Then we went for our nature walk and gathered leaves for doing leaf art.

And before heading home we rolled down some hills.

This was Oscar's first time rolling down hills - I think he's a fan.

That night we also tried out apple nachos - deliciousness!!

Day 9

I'm thankful for the food we have. Even when it's just ramen.

Trick-or-Treat

On Halloween night we headed to a few places to trick-or-treat and trunk-or-treat. I got a few more pictures of the kiddos, plus a few of us.

I asked Oscar if I could take a picture with his light saber hanging from this belt, and I think he wasn't sure what to do with his hands.

One of Alice with her hood up. I think this one shows her belt a bit better.

Oscar wanted to pose with Alice.. I wish I could get good pictures right away - by the time they are both holding still they've given up on smiling because they're tired of getting their picture taken.

Jeremy used things he already had and then borrowed a mask from Lane. I'm always glad when he gets some use out of that cloak. Cloak making takes a LOT of fabric.

And I actually had time for my "costume" this year! Pinspiration.

And I had some time to throw on some shimmer, lashes and bold blue eyeliner. Oh how I love to play dress up!!
